all that i can give

tomorrow's gonna be my curtain call to my foray into debate coaching. two debates and 84 minutes worth of speeches, are all that stands between the gong jiao dictators and that desired VJC shield.
hanging around the dictators has been perhaps the most rewarding aspect of taking up this temp job. no, it's more than just a job, it's an obligation and responsibility that i feel towards the dictators to help them achieve their fullest potential. and in return, the kids have helped me rediscovered that inner child in me. never did i expect to find myself playing LAN after each competition, playing soccer after training, or simply talking cock to a bunch of 14-15 year olds at my grand old age of 22.

come tomorrow, it all culminates to those last two cruial debates that will determine whether or not the gong jiao dictators can once again etch its name onto the eternity glory. in the words of Bono as eternalised by Tze Kai who has an uncanny knack at quoting pop artistes: 'Because we can, we must.' We have a very talented team, and it's well within their abilities to win this tournament. It's all about justifying to themselves and the rest of Singapore by winning both crucial match-ups. Victory or otherwise, all that really matters is the fact that we've shared this wonderful two weeks together, and as i retire from coaching thereafter, i shall always be proud of the fact that i've once steered this talented team towards fulfilling their fullest potential. A talented team, that will go on to attain greater glory far greater than what i can ever hope to achieve. And that's all that i can give to you, my dear dictators.
